Privacy

We treat your personal data with care and collect only what we need to stay in touch with you and to organize your studies.

When you fill in a form on the site, book a consultation, or contact us by email or messenger, we may receive your name, contact details, and the information you share about yourself and your learning goals.

We use this data only to:

• reply to your enquiry;
• hold a consultation;
• match you with a suitable program;
• arrange study, accommodation, and other services you choose;
• stay in touch with you about your participation in the program.

We do not sell personal data. When we organize in-person programs, necessary information may be passed to our partners — for example a host family, lodging provider, guide, or another service provider — only to the extent needed to deliver the service you chose.

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and country inferred from the network — not your street address. Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> (up to 2 years) and processes this data as part of the Analytics service; we keep Analytics events for 14 months.

Meta Pixel measures our ads: it records page views and a Lead event after a consultation request is accepted. With the Lead event the pixel sends Meta your email address in hashed (irreversibly encoded) form so Meta can match the request to an ad you saw; your name and message are not sent. If you send a request through a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes us the details you enter there. Meta sets the cookie _fbp (up to 90 days).

If you submit a lead form in a Google advertisement, Google sends Smorodina the name, email and any other details you choose to provide so we can reply to your request. Google processes the form under its own privacy policy. If you contact us through WhatsApp, that service processes your communication under its own terms and privacy policy. Opening a chat does not send a message: you review and send it yourself.

If you open a link with campaign tags (utm or an ad click id), Smorodina also stores that session for up to 90 days: country, landing page, and the path you take on the site, without your name. A consultation form may include the same campaign tags in the message we receive.

To keep the site fast we record anonymous performance measurements — loading speed, responsiveness, and layout stability — with the page type, language, device class (phone, tablet, or computer), site version, and country from the network. No cookies or identifiers are used; the measurements are kept in server logs for 30 days.

Stored in your browser: your language (cookie and local storage smorodina-locale, 1 year); for the current tab only, the campaign tags and a random session number (smorodina-campaign, smorodina-session); and your analytics choice below (smorodina-analytics-optout).

This policy may be updated as the school and its services develop.
