Before you arrive

Meet the family on Google Meet

We do not publish family photos online. Instead, once a few homes look like a good match, we arrange a short Google Meet with each household — so you can hear their voices, ask about daily rhythm, pets, and the room, and only then choose where you feel at ease.

Sample profiles from our network

Our hosts are Russian-speaking families from the Euro-2000 school community in Batumi. All live within walking distance of the school, where Russian as a foreign language and culture classes take place. Each student has a private room — convenient for study and personal space. Many families have already welcomed students from Germany and participants of Yale University programs, so international guests are familiar to them. Below are brief, anonymized sketches — the real acquaintance happens on the call.

An active family with a dog

The family’s roots are Russian, but several generations have lived in Batumi. There is always something going on at home: a university student daughter is into fashion, travel, and an active lifestyle; her father works at sea; her mother runs a beauty salon. A large guard dog lives with them — a good fit if you like animals.

A multilingual home with a cat

Before Batumi, this household lived in Kazakhstan, so switching languages feels natural. The daughter speaks Russian, English, and German; her mother teaches mathematics at school. Guests are welcome, travel is a shared habit, and a cat quietly rules the apartment.

A musical, multilingual household

Evenings here often mean a film discussion or piano practice — there are both a grand piano and an upright at home. The son is half Italian and speaks Italian, Georgian, German, French, English, and Russian; he also plays tennis and draws. Relatives work in education, art history, and Russian philology, so conversation at the table is rarely dull.

A medical family that loves sport

Dinner might turn into a cooking experiment led by their son, who also swims and trains in several sports. Care for others is woven into the house: one parent is a pediatric neurologist, the other a historian who runs a construction business. Expect an energetic rhythm and a clear sense of routine.

A creative home with a guitar

Guitar riffs and rock playlists set the tone for their teenage son, while weekends often mean picnics or short trips out of the city. His mother trained as a doctor, now works in wellness and hospitality, paints, and supports children’s charity projects. It is a hospitable, creative home that prefers movement to sitting still.

A family of dance and voice

Georgian dance steps and vocal rehearsals are part of ordinary evenings here. The daughter sings competitively, has won regional contests, and speaks Russian, German, English, and Georgian. Family roots reach back to Russia; her mother, an economist by training, runs a beauty business, and together they keep an active, travel-loving pace of life.

Two sisters: studies and music

Two sisters share the house and pull it in different, lively directions: one aims for top school marks, the other fills the rooms with violin, guitar, and piano. Their mother combines civil engineering with many years as a cosmetologist. New faces and new cities are welcome — the family likes to travel and meet people.
